Min official: Russia to participate in OPEC+ at scope of share
MOSCOW, Apr 9 (PRIME) -- Russia is ready to participate in the OPEC plus nonmember agreement in the scope of its share in production of the alliance, a spokesperson for the Energy Ministry told PRIME late on Wednesday.
"Russia is ready to participate in the scope of its share in the total production of the agreement participantating states," the official says.
RBC reported that Russia expects the countries producing a total of 70 million barrels per day to join the new deal, including the U.S., Brazil, Norway and Canada. In this case, Russia can cut production by about 1.6 million barrels per day, or 14% of the January–March level.
